Hello Crafty Friends! I’m sharing a too-cute-to-spook Halloween card created with the Build-A-Ghost Die Set, Love To Layer: A Little Loopy Die Set, and This Is Big Sentiments: Halloween. The Build-A-Ghost Die Set is absolutely adorable and includes lots of spooky little accessories so you can create your own custom ghost!
To begin, I die cut a loopy panel from white cardstock using the largest die from the Love To Layer: A Little Loopy Die Set. I ink blended the “boo” wording in the background using the Mat Stack: Halloween Stencil Collection and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide. I then adhered the panel to an A2-sized plaid background from the Bitty Big Sweet Blush Patterned Cardstock Collection.
Next, I die cut the ghost and all of the accessories from white cardstock and ink blended with the following inks:
Ghost- Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink)
Candy Corn– Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Pale Peony (Papertrey Ink), Limoncello (Catherine Pooler)
Pumpkins– Orange Zest, Canyon Clay, Pale Peony
Broom– Honey Nut (Papertery Ink), Limoncello (Catherine Pooler)
The skull was lightly inked blended around the outer edges with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide. The eyes, mouth, skull eyes, and pumpkin handle were all die cut from black cardstock.
Once all of the pieces were colored, I arranged and adhered everything to the card front. For the sentiment, I added a gold heat embossed “Boo” sentiment from This Is Big Sentiments: Halloween, along with a white heat embossed “Hey” on Orange Zest Cardstock.
For a fun finishing touch, I added a little sugar sparkle to the candy corn and topped the card with a cute bow die cut from Orange Zest Patterned Cardstock and a white mat.
