Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a pair of gift card holders featuring the In Stitches: Tucked In Tags Die Collection from Papertrey Ink’s latest release. This versatile set includes four different pocket front designs, giving you plenty of options for customizing your projects.
To begin, I die cut two gift tag bases from white cardstock. I lightly splattered one with blue water color and the other with pink water color, then set them aside to dry. Next, I die-cut two white circles using the smallest die from the In Frames: Circles Die Collection, along with two small doily circles from the Delicate Doilies Die Collection.
For the pocket layers, I ink-blended two panels of A2-sized white cardstock using the Leafy Garden Stencil Collection. For the blue version, I used Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks. For the pink version, I used Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide inks.
I then die-cut one set of pocket fronts from each stenciled panel using one of the pocket-front dies. To add another layer of pattern and contrast, I die-cut a second set of pocket fronts from blue and pink dotted cardstock from the Bitty Dots Basics Paper Pack, using a different pocket-front design.
I die cut some florals from Into The Blooms: Freshly Picked Die set and ink blended them with Salty Ocean, Kitsch Flamingo, Mowed Lawn and Bundled Sage Distress Oxides.
To assemble the gift card holders, I layered two pocket fronts over each tag base, slightly overlapping the leafy stenciled piece over the dotted cardstock piece. I stitched the layers together with bead cording to create a fun, handmade finish. I adhered the circles onto the tag fronts and completed the design with white heat embossed sentiments and navy stamped sentiments from This Is Big Sentiments: You Stamp and Die Set along with a clear enamel dot on each.
