Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a floral shaker card featuring the Build-A- Flower Garden Die Set, Love To Layer: Sweet Scallops, and This Is Big Sentiments: You Stamp and Die Set from Papertrey Ink’s latest release.
To begin, I softly ink blended an A2 sized white cardstock panel using Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks to create a light blue background.
Next, I used the Love To Layer: Sweet Scallops die to cut a scalloped opening from a second white cardstock panel. Using the same die, I partially die cut an opening from Green Parakeet Patterned Paper and adhered it along the bottom of the front panel.
I then attached an A2 -sized piece of acetate to the back of the panel to create a shaker window. I added clear sequins to the background panel and sealed the shaker with foam tape placed around the edges.
For the floral arrangement, I die cut the flowers, leaves and stems using the Build-A-Flower Garden Die Collection and inked them with the following Papertrey Ink inks:
Flowers: Honey Nut, Harvest Gold, Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Winter Wisteria
Leaves and Stems: New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse
I tucked the flowers and foliage along the base of the scalloped opening, then finished the card with sentiments from the This Is Big Sentiments: You Stamp and Die Collection.
