Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m excited to share a cheerful summer card featuring the adorable Make Lemonade! set from Lawn Fawn’s latest release. This charming set includes the sweetest mice enjoying a lemonade stand and mice in baseball caps. I added several mice from previous sets for some extra fun!
To create the background, I started by ink blending a soft cloudy sky background onto an A2 panel of white cardstock using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. Next, I die cut the palm trees and sandy shoreline using the Tropical Backdrop die. I ink blended the sand with Scattered Straw and Antique Linen Distress Oxide and added some texture with Copic E41 and a white gel pen. I ink blended the palm trees with Gathered Twigs and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.
I stamped and die cut all the images using the coordinating dies, then colored them with Copic markers listed below. To finish the scene, I added a stitched frame using the Stitched Rectangle Frame die and patterned paper from the Giddy For Plaid Paper Pack before adhering all the images to the card front.
For finishing touches, I the sentiment “Wishing You The Zest Summer” sentiment from the Make Lemonade! set and adhered clear shaker beads on the lemonade jug to resemble sparkling ice cubes 😊
