Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing refreshing summertime card featuring the Build-A-Pineapple Die Set from Papertrey Ink’s latest release! This versatile includes both a full-size and half-size pineapple, along with cocktail garnishes and fun drink toppers so you can create your own delicious tropical beverage.
To begin, I created a colourful watercolour-inspired background on an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Brushstrokes Stencil Collection. I ink blended Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, and Scattered Straw Distress Oxides.
Next, I die cut the pineapple and all the accessories and ink blended the images with the following inks:
Pineapple– Honey Nut, Fine Linen, Vintage Cream
Straw– Pure Poppy
Strawberry– Pure Poppy, Rustic Wilderness
Leaves– Spring Moss, New Leaf
Lime Slice– Green Parakeet, Spring Moxx
Flamingo- Hibiscus Burst
Umbrella– Kitsch Flamingo, Spun, Sugar, Antique Linen
Once everything was colored, I arranged and adhered all of the die-cut pieces onto the brushstroke background to create a fun tropical drink. To finish the card, I added a pink stamped “Hello” sentiment from the This Is Big Sentiments: Hello Die Collection and embellish the design with a few clear enamel dots for a bit of shine.
