SUMMER DRINKS WITH PRETTY PINK POSH

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a bright and refreshing summer card featuring the Summer Cocktails, Hibiscus Flowers, Tropical Leaves, Watercolor Strips Stencil, and Happy Summer Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh’s latest release.

To begin, I created a soft watercolor striped background using the Watercolor Strips Stencil and blended Salvaged Patina, Dried Marigold, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides.

Next, I die cut the drinks from the Summer Cocktails set, the leaves from Tropical Leaves, and a hibiscus flower from the Hibiscus Flowers set. I ink blended the die cuts with the following Distress Oxides:

Coconut: Gathered Twigs, Antique Linen, Kitsch Flamingo

Tall Glass: Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass, Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn

Margarita: Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Bundled Sage, Mustard Seed, Antique Linen

Leaves: Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness

Hibiscus Flower: Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, Festive Berries

To add extra texture, I applied white texture paste to the coconut for a realistic look and finished the glass rims with Tim Holtz Rock Candy to create a sparkling sugar effect.

To complete the card, I heat embossed “Have A Fun” sentiment in white on black cardstock, paired it with the pink “Summer” sentiment, and a thin white mat.
