Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a quick and easy pull-tab card featuring the Through The Forest Die Collection and Inspired Expressions from Papertrey Ink’s latest release. The Through The Forest Die Collection includes a versatile set of circular layering dies that can make quick scenic cards.
To begin, I inked blended the top half of an A2 white cardstock panel using Carved Pumpkin, Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxides to create a colourful sky. Next, I used the Lawn Fawn Let’s Toast Pull Tab to create a slit and the pull tab.
I then die cut the three forest layers, the leaf frame, and the sun and inked blended the die cuts with the following Distress Oxides:
Sun -Mustard Seed, Squeeze Lemonade
Front Tree Layer– Pine Needles
Middle Tree Layer– Rustic Wilderness
Back Tree Layer– Bundled Sage, Iced Spruce
Leaf Frame– Tumbled Glass I splattered white water color onto the layers for added texture.
Next, I die cut a 3 7/8″ circle from another A2 white cardstock panel to create the window opening. I adhered the forest layers behind the opening, then attached the sun to the pull-tab mechanism, trimming away the excess from the tabs. The window frame was popped up with foam tape for added dimension, and I finished the scene by adhering the leaf frame to the front.
To complete the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Inspired Expressions stamp set and added a few enamel dots for a finishing touch.
