Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a postage-inspired birthday card featuring the Stacked Mail Die Collection, Air Mail Stencil, Postage Stencil Collection, and the Into The Blooms: Mixed Bouquet Dic Collection from Papertrey Ink’s latest release.
The Stacked Mail Die Collection includes a variety of dies and stamps to create an adorable stack of happy mail, including letters, postage stamps, string to tie your mail together and even a heart charm for the perfect finishing touch!
To begin, I created a postage-inspired background on an A2 white cardstock panel using the Postage Stencil Collection and the Air Mail Stencil. I blended Festive Berries and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxides to create the postage border, then used Speckled Egg to stencil the classic air mail seal and cancellation marks in the corners.
Next, I die cut the stack of mail and inked the edges with Antique Linen and Scattered Straw Distress Oxides. I lightly stamped the top envelope using images from the Stacked Mail Set with Weathervane Ink and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide.
I decorated the mail with colourful postage stamps and a floral branch using the following Papertrey Ink inks:
Postage Stamps- Pure Poppy, Mint Leaf, Aqua Mist,
Floral Branch- Orange Zest, Aqua Mist
For additional texture and dimension. I tucked vellum leaves and die cut leaves from Into The Blooms: Mixed Bouquet. I inked some of the leaves with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide and Mint Leaf Ink.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment “A Stack of Birthday Wishes Celebrating You” stamped in Pure Poppy from the Stacked Mail Set. A bow of baker’s twine and a gold heart charm completed this mail-inspired birthday card.
