SILLY GOOSE, RAIN OR SHINE WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! As another school year comes to a close, I’m sharing an appreciation card dedicated to all the wonderful people who help support our schools. Today’s card features the Rain or Shine! Silly Goose set along with the Rainy Day Backdrop: Landscape.

To begin, I die cut the background using the Rainy Day Backdrop: Landscape Die. I lightly ink blended the top portion with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide, gradually fading the colour and leaving the bottom white. I adhered blue cardstock from the Rainbow Paper Pack behind the panel.

For the scene, I die cut a grass border using the Grassy Border die and ink blended it with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I then die cut the road from white cardstock using the On The Road Die. The road was ink blended with Black Soot, while the lane markings were colored with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade. To add texture, I splattered both water and white watercolor onto the road before adhering the lane markings to the back.

For the rainbow, I die cut the strips and base from white cardstock using the Stitched Rainbow Die. I softly ink blended the strips with Salty Ocean, Shaded Lilac, Mowed Lawn, Spun Sugar, and Mustard Seed. I also added depth to the clouds with Copic markers listed below.

I stamped and die cut the images and using the coordinating dies, then colored the images with Copic Markers listed below. To create the steering wheel, I stamped a smaller circle inside a larger one using the Let’s Bookeh Stamp Set.

I white heat embossed “Rain or Shine!” from the set, and “Thanks For All You Do” from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Fall.

To finish the card, I added a few raindrop crystals and a colourful border.
