Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a bright spring shadow box card featuring the Stitched Spring Florals Dies, Springtime Holder Additions Dies, and Mini Checker Stencils from Pretty Pink Posh’s latest release.
To begin, I die cut the shadow box and the grass panels from white cardstock. I added a soft mini checker pattern to the outside of the box using Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides. For the background, I created a cloudy sky with the Layered Clouds Stencil and blended Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides.
Next, I ink blended the grass panels with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides, then splattered a bit of green watercolor for extra texture.
I die cut florals from the Stitched Spring Flowers set and ink blended with:
Pinks: Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo
Yellows: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed
Purples: Shaded Lilac
I added two soft layered vellum butterflies over a white base, lightly inked with Tumbled Glass around the edges. To finish the card, I included a “Hello Spring” sentiment from the Spring Blooms Stamp Set and a crystal gem accent.
