RAINY BEAR WITH PRETTY PINK POSH

Hello Crafty Friends! April showers bring May flowers – and this little cutie is ready for rain! I created a fun spring card by combining the Bear Holder Die from the January Release with the Stitched Spring Flowers Dies and Raindrops Stencil.

I started by creating a soft rainy background with light ink blending around an A2 white panel, then added raindrops using blue ink and the Raindrops Stencil. For the ground, I die cut a grass border using the grass element from Nature Essentials Die (I extended the height using partial die cutting). I ink blended the border with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides and added a few green watercolor splatters for texture.

I die cut the adorable bear from the Bear Holder Die set, umbrella from Springtime Holder Accessories, and flowers and greenery from Stitched Spring Flowers die from white cardstock and ink blended all the pieces with the following Distress Oxide:

Bear Body– Tea Dye, Antique Linen

Cheeks and Tummy– Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar

Nose, Eyes– Black Soot

Ears– Walnut Stain

Flowers– Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar

Leaves and Stems– Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron

Umbrella- Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron

Handle– Hickory Smoke

The bear got a pair of bright rainbows (because priorities) – I die cut an extra bear, trimmed the legs, and ink blended the boots with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade.

I adhered everything onto the front panel and added “Bright Spring Wishes” from Easter Banner Greetings Stamp Set. I added a few rain drop gems for a realistic rainy-day touch.
