ALICE IN WONDERLAND TEA WITH PAPERTREY INK

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing an Alice in Wonderland-inspired tea party card created with the Build-A-Teapot Die Set from Papertrey Ink’s latest release. I’ve always loved Alice in Wonderland, so this theme was especially fun to bring to life!

To start, I created a storybook clock background using the Script Background Stencil and the Corners: Clock Die Set. I softly ink blended the script with Vintage Cream and Sweet Blush inks on A2 white panel, then die cut the clock details into two corners. The panel was layered onto Sweet Blush cardstock.

Next, I die cut a white mat using the largest die from the Love To Layer: Making A Point Die Set, lightly inked the edges with Sweet Blush ink and adhered it onto the clock panel.

I then die cut the teapots, tea cup, macaron, strawberry, and florals using the Build-A-Teapot Die Set and ink blended the pieces with the following colors:

Pink/Reds: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Pure Poppy

Cream/Yellow: Vintage Cream, Harvest Gold

Green: Aqua Mist

Grey: Hickory Smoke (Distress Oxide)

To add extra detail, I used Perfect Presents Stencil Collection to create patterns on the teapots and the Stems and Blooms Stencil Collection for the teacup. The lid knobs and door handle were die cut from Metallic Gold cardstock for a whimsical touch.

I assembled everything onto the front panel, added a “Happy Everything” sentiment, and finished with a thin pink border to finish the card.
