Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a birthday card created with the Floral Confections Stamp and Die Set from Papertrey Ink’s latest release. This playful set takes inspiration from cupcakes using beautiful florals as the cupcake and includes coordinating stencils so you can easily customize the cupcake liners!
To begin, I hot foiled a gold frame onto an A2 white panel and stamped “Birthday” in Pure Poppy ink along the inside bottom of the frame. I trimmed approximately 1/16″ from each side of the panel and set it aside.
Next, I stamped and die cut the florals using the coordinating dies with the following inks:
- Leaves- New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Green Parakeet
- Flowers- Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, Lovely Lady, Melon Berry

For the candle, I used Pale Peony and Hibiscus Burst and for the flame, I used Orange Zest and Pure Poppy. I die cut the cupcake liner from white cardstock, then used the coordinating stencil to ink blend the edges and bottom with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide for depth.
I arranged the liner and the florals onto the front panel to form the cupcake. I stamped “happy” in Pure Poppy ink, die cut it with the coordinating die, and adhered it just beneath the cupcake, tucking in a few extra leaves on the side.
I finished the card with a Sweet Blush border and some glitter on the candle flame and on a few florals.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you like my card!
