SWISH & POP BUTTERFLIES WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing an interactive card featuring the adorable butterflies from the I Like Big Butterflies set from Lawn Fawn’s latest release.

To begin, I ink blended an A2 cloudy background on white cardstock using the Cloudy Stencil with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Next, I die cut a frame with Stiched Rectangle Frames and patterned paper from the Blissful Blossoms Petite Paper Pack. I then die cut two cloud borders, one out of vellum and the other out of white cardstock using Puffy Cloud Borders. I softly ink blended the edges of the white cloud border with the same ink and adhered the vellum cloud border onto the background panel.

I die cut and assemble the Swish ‘n Pop interactive mechanism and adhered it to the background panel. To create two moving images instead of one, I added an extra arm to the mechanism.

I die cut a grass border using Grassy Hillside Borders and ink blended with Mowed Lawn. I splattered the border with green watercolor and set it aside to dry.

I die cut the Big Bossom Backdrop Landscape frame out of white cardstock. I ink blended the flowers with Kitsch Flamingo and Scattered Straw and the centres with Antique Linen. I ink blended the leaves with Mowed Lawn.

I stamped and die cut the butterflies with the coordinating dies. I colored them with Copic Markers listed below.

I adhered the inked cloud border and the grass border behind the frame, then added another flower and a sweet butterfly to the front. I adhered the floral frame over the top and used the notch die from the Swish’n Pop set to create an opening for the sliding mechanism.

I stamped “have a beautiful day” from the set on a white banner layered it over vellum for added dimension. I completed the card with glittery drops in the flower centers.
