BAG OF BLOSSOMS WITH PAPERTREY INK

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a birthday card featuring the new Into the Blooms: Bag of Blossoms Die from Papertrey Ink’s latest release. If you love bags as much as I do, this set is such a treat- it lets you design and customize your very own floral tote!

To begin, I inked the dotted background using the Dotted Diamonds Stencil Collection on A2 white cardstock. I started at the bottom with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide, gradually fading the pattern as I worked my way up the panel. I added a stitched border using a die from my stash to frame the design.

Next, I die cut a vellum layer using the largest die from the Reflections: Hebrews 11 Die Collection and adhered it to the center of the panel to soften the background.

For the tote, I die cut the bag and ink blended it with Tumbled Glass adding Kitsch Flamingo to the bottom panel for a pop of color. The handle was ink blended with Honey Nut ink, then adhered to the bag and embellished with two crystal gems for a bit of sparkle. I mounted the finished tote onto the vellum layer.

I die cut the floral pieces and ink blended with the following inks:

• Flowers- Hibiscus Burst, Royal Velvet, Lilac Grace, Lovely Lady, Pale Peony
• Leaves- New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse, Green Parakeet

I arranged the flowers and leaves above the tote to create a full bouquet.

I stamped “happy” with Hibiscus Burst ink and die cut it with the coordinating die. I gold heat embossed “Birthday” onto a white banner and adhered it just beneath the bag.

I finished the card off with a white border and some Nuvo Glitter Drops on some florals for extra shine.
