EASTER CHICK SHAKER WTIH PRETTY PINK POSH

Hello Crafty Friends! Yay! It’s Pretty Pink Posh’s release day and I’m sharing a cute Easter-themed shaker card created with the adorable Chick Shaker, Watercolor Circles Mask Stencil, and Mini Checker Stencil.

To begin, I ink blended a bright and cheerful background on an A2 white cardstock panel using the Mini Checker Stencil with Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides.

Next, I created a watercolor background using the Watercolor Circle Mask Stencil and blended Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold. I ran the panel through my die-cut machine using the largest die from Stitched Torn Rectangles die set and adhered it to the colourful background.

To create the chick shaker, I die cut the white frame, foam tape frame, and an acetate layer. I ink blended the frame and base with Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw. I adhered the acetate behind the frame, added the foam tape frame, sprinkled Pastel Dreams Shaker Beads onto the watercolor front panel, and sealed everything together to form the shaker.

For the details, I added eyes die-cut from black cardstock and die-cut the beak and cheeks from white cardstock, ink blending them with Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold and Kitsch Flamingo. I added some white highlights on the eyes to bring the chick to life.

I die cut the eggshell from white cardstock and ink blended the edges with Tumbled Glass. I tucked in the chick’s feet, ink blended with Carved Pumpkin and Dried Marigold, and added a sweet pink bow ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo.

For the sentiment, I die cut the large “Spring” sentiment from Large Spring Shadow die set and ink blended it with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar before adhering it to a white shadow base.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment “Bright Spring Wishes” sentiment from Easter Banner Greetings and topped the bow with a glittery crystal gem.
