SPRING RAIN WITH PRETTY PINK POSH

Hello Crafty Friends! I’m excited to share a sneak peak of Pretty Pink Posh’s upcoming Spring/Easter release arriving February 5th! This collection is filled with the sweetest springtime designs- from adorable watering cans to florals, Easter chicks, and so much more. For today’s project, I created a rainy-day card featuring the charming Chick Holder and Springtime Additions set.

To begin, I ink blended a soft blue sky background on an A2 white cardstock panel using Tumbled Glass, gradually deepening the color toward the top with Salty Ocean. I set the panel aside to dry, then added rain drops using the Raindrops Stencil and Nuvo Moonstone Glitter Paste.

Next, I die cut the Chick Holder, beak, and cheeks from white cardstock and ink blended the pieces with the following Distress Oxides:

• Chick Holder- Scattered Straw
• Cheeks- Kitsch Flamingo
• Beak and Feet – Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold.

I added eyes using black cardstock.

For the umbrella, I created a checkered pattern on acetate using the Mini Checker Stencil with white pigment ink, then set it aside to dry. Once dry, I die-cut the umbrella canopy using the umbrella die from Springtime Holder Additions. I also die cut the umbrella handle and a floral stem from the same set out of silver cardstock, and adhered them together to form the umbrella crook. The acetate canopy was then adhered on top making sure to apply glue only on white checkered areas so it wouldn’t show through. I finished the umbrella with a silver enamel dot at the top.

Using Nature Essentials die set, I die cut a white frame and a grass border. I ink blended the grass with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron, then lightly splattered it with water for added texture.

I added some clouds ink blended with Tumbled Glass using Stitched Cloud Dies, along with flowers from the Stitched Spring Flowers die set ink blended with Shaded Lilac, Carved Pumpkin and Dried Marigold. The stems and leaves were ink blended with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.

To finish the card, I added a sweet “Hello” sentiment from the Springtime Holder Additions set.
