Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing another Valentines card created with the XOXO Shaker Die and the adorable Lovely Ladybugs set from Pretty Pink Posh’s latest release.
I started by creating a 4″ x 5.25″ stenciled word background using the Love Words Stencil and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide, then adhered it to an A2 sized pink cardstock base.
To assemble the shaker, I die cut the two XOXO bases, one from white cardstock and the second from acetate. I ink blended the heart openings with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides. I then die cut two shaker frames, one out of red cardstock, and one from double sided foam sheet.
I filled the hearts with the Sweet XOXO Shaker Mix and crystal jewels. I adhered the acetate to the back of red XOXO frame followed by the foam layer. I secured the shaker by attaching it over the XOXO base. The completed shaker was then adhered to the card front.
Next, I stamped and die cut the sweet ladybugs from Lovely Ladybugs and colored them with Copic markers listed below.
I adhered the ladybugs onto the card front, added a white heat embossed sentiment and finished the card with a crisp white border.
