LET IT SNOW WITH PAPERTREY INK

Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I’m sharing a snowy snowman card and coordinating tag featuring Papertrey Ink’s new “Let It Snow” Cover Plate and Holiday Tag dies!

Card

To start, I ink blended a soft cable knit background using the Simple Crochet Stencil with Blue Print Sketch and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides on two A2 White Cardstock bases. I splattered some Silver Metallic Watercolor for added texture. I saved one base for the tag.

I die cut three layers of the Let It Die Cover Plate, one out of Spring Rain and the other two out of White Cardstock. I lightly over lapped one white frame over the blue and trimmed off the remaining edges. I adhered the frame onto the back panel with foam tape. I trimmed off some snowflakes from the last white frame and inked them with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide.

I adhered the pink snowflakes on top of the frame. I die cut three “Let It Snow” out of Spring Rain and two out of White Cardstock. I layered one white over the blue and I ink blended the second white sentiment with Blue Print Sketch, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides.

I die cut two snowmen from Holiday Tag: Snowman Die. I ink blended images with the following Distress Oxides:

Hats: Salvage Patina, Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, and Kitsch Flamingo

Mitts: Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac

Cheeks: Spun Sugar

Branches: Gathered Twigs

Buttons: Salvaged Patina

Carrot: Dried Marigold

Snowmen: Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch around the edges

I die cut scarves out of the remaining Simple Stitched background used for the tag.

Tag

I die cut the tag using the Holiday Tag: Let It Snow Die. I die cut two layers of “Let It Snow” sentiment from the Holiday Tag: Snowman Die out of White Cardstock. I ink blended one using Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass and layered it on top of the white sentiment.

I adhered some pink snowflakes onto the tag followed by the snowman and the sentiment.

I finished the tag off with a crystal gem and tied a sheer white ribbon through the loop.
