Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Fawny Holiday Week at Lawn Fawn and I ‘m so excited to share my Twelve Day Advent Calendar created with the Star Treat Box Die from Lawn Fawn’s latest release!
To begin, I wrapped a piece of twine around a 12″ wooden wreath frame. Using the Puffy Stars Die, I die cut four large gold stars and eight medium white stars. I adhered the gold stars at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, placing the white stars in between. I set the wreath aside.

For the boxes, I die cut twelve boxes from various patterned cardstocks using the Star Treat Box Die. To create the little doors, I used the smallest Lift The Flap Circles die, folding along the score lines and securing the sides with double-sided tape. For contrast, I added white doors cut from White Woodgrain Cardstock using the same die- then hand-cut the hinge area (the part not fully cut by the die).
To frame the doors, I added a scalloped border by die cutting 1 3/4″ scalloped circles and then I used the 1 1/2″ circle to cut the circle opening. I adhered the frames and doors onto the boxes.
For the numbers, I die cut two sets, one from Chili Pepper Cardstock and another from Metallic Gold Cardstock. I adhered the red numbers slightly offsetting the gold for a shadowed effect. I reinforced the back of each box with a die cut circle from scrap cardstock.

Next, I stamped and die cut the images, colouring them with Copic Markers listed below. I added some holly from the Cute Candy Canes and ink blended them with Mowed Lawn and Festive Berries Distress Oxides. I then adhered the finished images to the boxes.
I arranged the boxes on the wreath and lightly marked their positions with a pencil. I cut twelve 3M wall-hanging strips in half. I trimmed twelve strips of scrap kraft cardstock to roughly the same size for reinforcement on the wreath.I adhered half of the kraft strips to the marked areas for extra strength, and then I adhered the 3M strips over top. I adhered the remaining 3M strips onto the back of the boxes. I filled each box with goodies and attached the boxes to the wreath.

I added a hand-cut bow out of cream cardstock. For the tails, I die cut the smaller banner from Stitched Party Banners, cut it in half, and attached a button from my stash in the center, along with a few holly accents on each side.
