Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I’m sharing a holiday card featuring the sweet Caroling Mice from Lawn Fawn’s new Christmas Release! This set is absolutely adorable, and as always, you can mix it with older mice sets to build fun holiday scenes. I borrowed a mouse from last year’s Cheesy Christmas to round out my caroling scene.
To creat the background, I ink blended an A2 White Cardstock with Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides, starting with the darkest color on the outer edges. I left the top center area white so that I could add a soft glow from the star using Scattered Straw and Squeezed Lemonade. For a snowy sky, I splattered on white acrylic paint.
Next, I die cut the Village from white cardstock and ink blended with the following:
Village Houses: Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Salvaged Patina
Trees: Shaded Lilac
I added a yellow glow in the windows using Copic Markers listed below.
I lightly inked the hill top with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I die cut another stitched hill top with the Stitched Hillside Border die and ink blended the edges with Tumble Glass Distress Oxide. I added some Chunky Glitter onto the rooftops, trees and the top edges of the hills.
Next, I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I colored the images with Copic Markers listed below. I added falling snow with a White Gel Pen.
I adhered the village and hill onto the background panel, followed by the images. I finished the card with I’m Dreaming Of A Mice Christmas” from the set backed with vellum. I added some more falling snow with my White Gel Pen to complete the card.
