Hello Crafty Friends! It’s September Release Day at Papertrey Ink, and this month’s release is filled with festive stamps and dies to jump-start your holiday card making. There are so many wonderful sets to choose from, and for my first project, I’m sharing an interactive peekaboo door card with the Twelve Days of Christmas set.
To begin, I used the background plate from the set and die-cut it from Vintage Cream Cardstock. With a craft knife, I carefully cut open four doors on the corners. For a touch of holiday shimmer, I trimmed a background panel from gold speckled paper in my stash and layered it behind the doors. To ensure perfect placement, I lightly marked the images in pencil before stamping.
Next, I stamped several holiday sentiments and icons from Tiers of Cheers with Pure Poppy, New Leaf, and Blueberry Sky dye inks.
I stamped and die-cut all the images. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below and adhered them onto the front panel. For the sentiment, I stamped “Glad Tidings To You This Holiday Season” onto a white banner and layered it over a vellum banner.
To finish, I framed the card with a gold and cream border.
