Hello Crafty Friends! I’m so excited to share a spooky surprise card featuring the Spooky Delights set from Papertrey Ink’s August Release!
To start, I die cut two back panels measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 3/4″- one out of White Woodgrain Cardstock and another from plain White Cardstock. I also die cut the set of doors from White Woodgrain Cardstock, then ink blended both the doors and the white panel with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide. I centered the doors onto the white panel and marked the edges to guide with placement.
Next, I created slider openings with a slider die.

I flipped the panel around and applied two layers of adhesive foam tape. I used some coins for the slider mechanism. I placed the coins behind the panel and added a strip onto the center of the coins (second picture below).

I inked a spooky background by ink blending Black Soot and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides onto 3 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ White Cardstock panel, as well as the larger background. I added texture with water spritzing, plus splatters of White and Black Acrylic Paint. I adhered the smaller background onto the card front in between the top and bottom sliders.
I removed the backing on the foam tape and adhered the front panel onto the background panel.

I die cut the door elements and ink blended with Black Soot Distress Oxide. I removed the backing from the foam strips on the coins and adhered the doors over top. I added some pull tabs. I stamped and die cut the images and adhered them onto the card.

I added some glitter details for some sparkle and I finished the card with a sentiment from Fab-boo-lous Sentiments.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you like my card!
