Hello Crafty Friends! I am sharing one more card created with Papertrey Ink’s January Release! I used the balloon die from The Bigs Birthday Style and the Blooming Beauties stamp set to create this card. Most of my cards lean towards pink and pastel shades. I thought I would try something different for this card and so I decided to use bolder colors for a change.
To start, I ink blended A2 White Cardstock with a Cloudy Stencil using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. Next, I stamped a floral background using the the following Catherine Pooler Dye Inks:
Yellows: Chiffon, Limoncello
Pinks: It’s A Girl, Party Dress
Blues: Oh Boy!, Something Borrowed
Greens: Garden Party, Matcha
I masked off some of the flowers as I was stamping to create depth.

I wanted to create see through balloons so I stamped the balloon stamp with Versamark and I White Heat embossed the balloons. I lightly inked the edges of the vellum balloons with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide to create some shadows. I stamped and Gold Heat embossed the coordinating balloon strings. I adhered the balloons onto the background.
I stamped “Birthday Hugs” with black ink and adhered it onto the top right corner of the card. I finished off the card by adhering the panel onto a blue diagonal striped background.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you like my card!
