Hello Crafty Friends! I am back guest designing for Papertrey Ink’s January Release and t’s all about birthdays and celebrations! For my first card, I created a Birthday card with the new In Stitches: Cake Builder Die.
To start, I White Heat embossed a Birthday Background on White Cardstock. Next, I die cut the cake pieces from the Cake Builder set. I ink blended the cake layers with the following Distress Oxide Inks:
Pink: Kirsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar
Yellow: Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade
Green: Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron
Blue: Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass
I added texture to the cake layers with Copic Markers listed below.

I created a sparkler using gold paper with the fringe hat topper from Build-A-Party Hat die set. I added Gold Heat embossed “It’s Your” and a bright pink stamped “Birthday” sentiment. I added a dotted pink border and a white post card frame.
I finished off the card with a few gold confetti which were scraps from my gold sparkler and some confetti circles!
For more birthday and celebration ideas, check out the awesome January Release at the Papertrey Ink Blog!
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you like my card!
