VALENTINE’S CHOCOLATE BOX WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s already February and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! I created a Valentine’s Chocolate box card for my special someone featuring the Tiny Panda and Bear Add-On and the yummy Sweet Strawberry set!

To start, I created a heart background by ink blending the Lots of Hearts Background Stencil with Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Festive Berries Distress Oxides. I then added a pink border with textured pink cardstock over a white scalloped rectangle border.

I stamped and die cut the chocolate strawberries and coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I die cut small scalloped circles out of brown cardstock to resemble glassine paper in chocolate boxes. I adhered the chocolate strawberries onto the glassine circles.

I created the chocolate box by die cutting two hearts with the largest die from the Outside in Stitched Heart Stackables set. I die cut the first heart by not die cutting all the way through one of the sides. I placed the heart die next to the uncut edge of the first heart and ran it through my die cut machine. This leaves the two hearts attached along the side. I closed the heart by folding it along the attached edge.

Next, I decorated the front of the box by ink blending the same Diestress Oxides with the new Layered Hearts Background Stencil on White Cardstock. I then die cut the heart with the same heart die. I adhered the heart onto the closed heart.

For the inside of the box, I die cut three more hearts, one out of vellum, one out of dark pink paper from the Textured Canvas Cardstock pack and another out of Strawberry Frosting Paper.

I adhered the vellum over the dark pink heart and I adhered the chocolate strawberries on top. I added a heart frame by fussy cutting the Strawberry Frosting Paper Heart. I adhered the chocolate box on top of a scalloped heart die cut from dark pink cardstock.

I die cut the cute bear and ink blended with Gathered Twigs and Antique Linen Distress Oxides. I added a bow ink blended with Festive Berries and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides. I adhered the bear behind the chocolate box and then I adhered everything onto the background panel.

I finished off the card with a sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry set and I substituted “Berry” from the set to “Beary” although “Berry” would work as well 🙂
