PENGUIN AND FIREWORKS WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s the last Lawn Fawnatics Challenge of the year! Challenge #187 is New Year Inspiration Board- use the above image for inspiration to create a project.

For this Challenge, I was inspired by the firework images and decided to create a New Year card using Fireworks Hotfoil Plate and my favourite diecut critter, Peppy Penguin.

To start, I diecut the background panel using the largest die from Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I hot foiled the panel using the Fireworks die and Gold Glimmer Foil. I also hot foiled two more fireworks using Glimmer Rainbow Foil. I splattered the panel with some Gansai Tambi gold watercolor. I set the panel aside to dry. Once dried, I ink blended the center of each firework with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide.

I diecut Peppy Penguin out of White Cardstock and ink blended with Black Soot Distress Oxide. I added a bow tie and a gold party hat die cut from Sparkle Gold Cardstock and I ink blended with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide. I coloured the remaining parts of the penguin with Copic Markers listed below.

I trimmed two thin sticks out of Sparkle Gold Cardstock for the sparkler rods. I adhered the two fireworks onto the rods. I added Glitter Drops and Sequins onto the center of the fireworks.

I adhered the panel onto a White Fancy Scalloped Rectangle followed by A2 background out of paper from Candy Cane Lane Petite Paper Pack.

I finished off the card with a “Happy New Year” sentiment stamped with Bubblegum Ink onto a White Stitched Sentiment Banner.
