PENGUIN TREE WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! There’s a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #185 is Holiday Critters- Create a project that features critters celebrating the holidays!

For this Challenge, I created a stacked penguin card using the new Peppy Penguin die.

To start, I die cut the background panel using the largest rectangle from Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I ink blended the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. I added some falling snow using Snowy Sky Stencil with White Stencil Paste. I set the panel aside to dry.

I die cut a snow hill using Hillside Borders and inked the snow hill using the same ink. I die cut an opening to tuck in my tree using Sandy Beach Accents. I adhered some Chunky Glitter on the snow hills.

Next, I die cut the penguins and ink blended the penguins with Black Soot Distress Oxide and coloured the penguins with Copic Markers listed below.

I trimmed the headband of the earmuffs from Build-A-Snowman and ink blended with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. I ink blended the ear cups with Festive Berries Distress Oxide.

I die cut the Christmas tree using Build-A-Christmas Tree die. I ink blended the tree with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxides. I added snow on the edges using Nuvo Drops.

I ink blended the star with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides. I adhered the tree and penguins onto the background panel. I splattered the panel with White Acrylic Paint mixed with water.

I added a white border and a festive striped border using paper from the Candy Cane Lane Collection Pack.

I finished off the card with a Wavy Banner sentiment stamped with Lobster Ink.
