LET’S GO ON A CRUISE WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! There’s a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #182 is Sightseeing: Create a project inspired by a place you want to visit.

For this Challenge, I was inspired by cruises. I really don’t have a particular destination that I would like to visit via cruise. However, I would like to experience travel by a cruise liner (ie. all the food and drinks, entertainment…). Until then, I am happy with making my cruise card 🙂

To start, I ink blended a cloudy background on A2 White Cardstock with Cloudy Stencil using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. I then die cut some ocean waves using Ocean Borders and ink blended the borders with Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides. I splattered the borders with blue watercolour for added texture. Next, I die cut the sand using Hillside Borders. I ink blended the sand with Antique Linen Distress Oxide. I added some sand hills to tuck in the trees and mouse using Sandy Beach Accents. I stamped “Adventure Awaits!” onto the sand panel.

I die cut the Palm Trees with Palm Trees Die and ink blended the trees with Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Tea Dye, and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxides.

To make the boat, I used the dies indicated in the supplies list below. I ink blended the bow with Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides. I ink blended the funnel with Festive Berries Distress Oxide and I added details using Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides.

I outlined the boat with Copic Marker C0 for depth. I adhered the boat onto White Cardstock and I coloured the windows with Copic Markers listed below.

I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I finished off the card with a Fishtail Banner die cut using Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime Petite Paper Pack.
