Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for another Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #180 is Woodland Wonder! As it’s the beginning of a brand new school year, I wanted to recognize our hardworking teachers whom we can’t thank enough! For this Challenge, I created a Teacher’s Appreciation card wishing all our teachers a wonderful year ahead using the new Little Woodland Library set.
To start, I created a cloudy background by ink blending A2 White Cardstock with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide using the Cloudy Stencil. I splattered some blue water color onto the background for added texture. I stamped the sentiment with Black Memento Ink into the middle of the background.
Next, I die cut the trees using Lift The Flap Tree Backdrop. I trimmed off the middle Tree and I ink blended the trees with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide. I die cut A2 paper with Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop and ink blended the panel with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide. I trimmed two background pieces and adhered the background under the flaps.

For the leaves bunting, I die cut the bunting using Bunting Borders out of Woodgrain Cardstock Light Brown. I then die cut a variety of leaves from Leaf Tree Backdrop Portrait and Landscape. I ink blended the leaves with Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxides. I adhered the leaves onto the bunting.
I die cut the grass using Grassy Border and I ink blended the grass with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide. I splattered some green watercolour for added texture.
I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below.
I finished off the card with a Stitched Rectangle Frame using paper from Falling Leaves Petite Paper Pack.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, September 15th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you like my card!
