Hello Crafty Friends! There is a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #178 is Color Inspiration, create a project using the above colors. Getting the correct colors was a bit of a struggle for me as I am recovering from eye surgery on a Retina tear. My first idea was to create a watermelon themed card but after I completed the card, I realized that it was pink and a really bright green rather than turquoise sea green so I am saving that card for another project! I am hosting our annual summer family gathering (which is coincidentally happening today) and the theme is “Fiesta” which inspired me to create a piñata card.
For this card, I die cut the confetti frame out of White Cardstock using Let’s Celebrate Backdrop. I die cut the confetti pieces using card stock from Textured Canvas Aqua and Pink paper packs. I adhered the confetti pieces onto the back side of the confetti frame. Next I die cut “Hooray” using Giant Hooray die out of White Cardstock and ink blended the sentiment with Kirsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide. I adhered a piece of A2 acetate onto the back of the negative side of the “Hooray” and adhered the sentiment back on.

I added some clear sequins onto another piece of A2 White Cardstock. I adhered some foam tape around the back of the “Hooray” background and placed it over top of the sequins. I then glued the confetti frame over top.
I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I finished off the card by adding some Aquamarine twine to hold the piñata in place.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, August 18th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you like my card!

When are you not wearing a cape with a big “SW” for “SuperWoman” on it? Wow, you impress me…. every. single. time!

Thanks so much. I have to admit the last few weeks have been challenging but it hasn’t stopped me from crafting 🙂
