Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Christmas in July at Lawn Fawnatics! Get a jump start on your holiday cards with Challenge #177! For this Challenge, I created an ice skating card with one of my favourite sets, Mice On Ice!
To start, I stamped A2 White Cardstock with Over The Mountain Borders. I used the coordinating die and die cut the border. Next, I die cut the ice rink with Stitched Pond die onto the bottom of the panel. I then die cut some snow piles using Sandy Beach Accents. I highlighted the snow piles with Copic Markers listed below. I added some Chunky Glitter on the edges of the snow hill and the ice rink and I set the panel aside to dry.
For the background, I ink blended the top of A2 White Cardstock with Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides. I ink blended the ice rink with Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, and I lightly blended Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide around edges. I added some falling snow with White Stencil Paste using Snowy Sky Stencil.
I stamped “wishing you joy!” sentiment onto the bottom of the ice rink with Lobster Ink.
I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I drew some white lines onto the ice rink with my White Posca Marker.
