Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #176 is Fun with Food! This Challenge is so much fun as there are so many creative ways to showcase food! For this Challenge, I was inspired by canned soup. Although the weather might be a bit warm for soup, I love soup year round as I find soup super comforting.
To start, I die cut the Radiant Heart Backdrop out of White Cardstock. I l adhered it onto A2 sized Yellow Textured Canvas Cardstock. I added a red plaid border using paper from Fruit Salad Petite Paper Pack.
To make the soup cans, I die cut the glass background from The Build-A-Drink Root Beer Add-On set out of White cardstock four times. I used the insert die in the set to make the can openings on two of the cans. I masked off the bottom half of the cans and I ink blended the top half of the cans with Festive Berries and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxides. I masked off a strip on the top of the can and ink blended the strip with Fossilized Amber and Scatter Straw Distress Oxides. I ink blended the inside of the cans with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxides.
I die cut the lids on the remaining two glass backgrounds using the insert piece in the set. I lightly ink blended the edges of the lids with Hickory Smoke Distresss Oxide. I added a circle and a heart to each of the cans for decoration.

I made the bottom of the bowl by die cutting the largest circle in Circle Stackables out of paper from Rainbow Ever After Petite Paper Pack and placing the largest Oval from Large Stitched Oval Stackables overtop and running it through my die cut machine (for details, please check my “Oh Snap” post on July 3rd, 2023).
I then die cut another large oval for the inside of the bowl. I masked an area for the soup and I ink blended the soup with Fire Brick Distress Oxide. I splattered some water and some dark red watercolour onto the soup for texture.
I ink blended the rims of the bowl with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide.
I stamped “Souper” out of Sugar Cookie Ink and coloured the letters with Copic Markers listed below.
I stamped and die cut all the images with the coordinating dies and I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I finished off the card with White Heat Embossed sentiments and added a silver spoon for a final touch!
The Challenge is open until Sunday, July 14th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you like my card!
