NEWSPAPER STAND WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! I am sharing a fun News Stand themed birthday card using the new Ta! Da! Diorama Shop Add-On!

To start, I die cut all the pieces in the Ta! Da! Diorama set out of White Cardstock with the exception of the back piece which I die cut using Rainbow Sherbert paper from Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime Petite Paper Pack and the counters which I die cut using Coffee Table Cardstock. I ink blended the front with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide using the Brick Stencil. I splattered some of the Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide mixed with water onto the background and set the background aside to dry.

I used the arch window die and the rectangle window die in the Ta! Da! Shop Add-On to make the window openings in the front. I die cut the arch window background using the die in the set with the same Rainbow Sherbet paper. I die cut the canopy and window frame out of Watermelon Slushie paper from Pint-Sized Patterns Summertime Petite Paper Pack using the dies in the set

Next, I die cut the hanging plant from Build-A-Greenhouse and ink blended the plant with the following Distress Oxides; Mowed Lawn (plant), Gathered Twigs (hanging fixture), Festive Berries (pot). I then die cut the picture frame from the Ta! Da! Shop Add-On out of White Cardstock and stamped a rainbow image onto it. I coloured the image with Copic Markers listed below and ink blended the edges of the frame with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxides.

I adhered the Ta! Diorama! together.

I stamped the images and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. For the newspapers, I used 0.1 Black and 0.1 Red Multi-liners to draw in lines and squares to resemble newspapers.

I die cut a strip of grass using Grassy Border and ink blended the grass with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide. I adhered the grass to the front of the window.

I added some paper airplanes stamped with Lobster Ink onto the sides and I finished off the card with a wavy “Happy Birthday” sentiment.
