Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing another card created for Challenge #172 -inspired by a design team member or another lawn fawn card.
There’s this amazing card that has been in my mind for the longest time. It’s the genius Ugly Sweater card using the spinning wheel mechanism created by the ever so talented, Marine Simon. Again, if you are familiar with card designers, Marine does not need an introduction. You can visit her blog for her super creative ideas http://bluemarinecraft.blogspot.com.
With summer approaching, I adapted the idea and turned it into a summer themed card. Instead of ugly sweaters, I created a tacky tourist themed card.

To start, I ink blended a cloudy sky background onto A2 White Cardstock. I stamped “Bon Voyage” onto the top center of the panel
To make the sand, I die cut two using Hillside borders. I added sand accents in the sand. I ink blended the sand with Gathered Twigs and Antique Linen Distress Oxides. I added texture by I spraying the sand pieces with water and splattered some brown water color onto the panels. I stamped “” onto the bottom center of the panel. I die cut the palm trees from Hammock and Trees. I ink blended the palm leaves with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides and the trunks with Gathered Twigs and Antique Linen Distress Oxides.
For the waves, I die cut two waves out using Wavy Border Die. I ink blended the waves with Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides. I sprayed the waves with water and set the panels aside to dry.
I adhered all the upper sand piece and the two waves onto the cloudy background.

I stamped and die cut all the images with the coordinating dies. I stamped two standing bear images. I colored the images with Copic Markers listed below with the exception of the plaid shirt. I stamped the plaid shirt on Gummy Bears Cardstock and fussy cut the shirt.
I trimmed off the head from one of the standing bear images. I adhered the bear onto the center of the background panel.

For the wheel, I die cut the scalloped wheel from the Reveal Wheel set. I lined the wheel with the bear and made sure the outer edges of the wheel was positioned underneath the bear’s face. I used a paper piercer and pierced a hole into the background following through the hold in the scalloped wheel. I placed a brad in the hold and folded the back ends.
I adhered the shirts onto the wheel making sure that the shirts lined up with the body of the bear. I attached the bear head on top of the bear with foam tape.
I adhered the remaining images onto the card.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, May 19that 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you like my card!
