Hello Crafty Friends! I am sharing one more Valentine’s card today. There’s a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics, Challenge #166 is Interactive Cards! For this Challenge, I created a Valentine’s gum ball machine themed card.
To start, I die cut all the pieces in the Reveal Wheel set out of White Cardstock. The notch for the wheel on the front panel die in the set is on the top right hand side. I wanted the notch to be on the bottom so I flipped the panel over. To get the stitched border, I ran the panel in my die cut machine with the largest rectangle in Stitched Rectangle Stackables.
Next, I ink blended the front panel with the Falling Hearts Stencil using Festive Berries, Kirsch Flamingo, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks and set the panel aside.
To make the gumballl machine, I die cut the pieces from Build-A-Snowglobe out of White Cardstock. I added an extra base on the bottom of the machine. I used the heart die from How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-On to die cut the heart opening on the machine. I added the teapot lid from Stitched Teapot on top. I adhered acetate onto the back of the snow globe frame.
I used the heart die to make a stencil for the heart candies. Using the stencil, I ink blended the heart candies with Kirsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides on White Cardstock. I ink blended the sentiments on top of the candies with Festive Berries Distress Oxide using the stencil from Conversation Heart Stencils.
Using the heart candies stencil, I ink blended the hearts onto the reveal wheel piece.
I ink blended the background and glass sides of the globe with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxides. I ink blended the base and lid with Festive Berries and Kirsch Flamingo Distress Oxides.
To make the knob, I die cut the top rectangular pillar piece from Spooky Gates and the smallest circle from Circle Stackables out of Metallic Silver Cardstock. I added a silver brad in the middle of the rectangular piece for added effect.
I adhered the reveal wheel together and adhered it onto an A2 size background using pink striped paper from Really Rainbow Collection Pack. I adhered the gum ball machine onto the front panel.
I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below.
I used the bubble stamp and the “5” stamp from Bubbles of Joy and Plan On It: Calendar to make the 5 cents. I coloured the image with Copic Markers listed below. I adhered all the images onto the front panel.
I finished off the card by adding a scripty “Sweet” sentiment ink blended with Festive Berries and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides and a White Heat Embossed sentiment.
