Hello Crafty Friends! I am incredibly honoured to be invited to design for Hello Bluebird’s Christmas release. The Christmas release is super adorable and it is available to purchase on their site tomorrow! There is a total of 5 stamp sets and 2 stand alone dies and I will be sharing some fun projects created with these cuties over the next few weeks.
For my first card, I created a postage stamp themed card with December Post, Holiday Littles, Postage Frame Die, and the holly from the Candy Cane die set. To start, I trimmed an A2 back panel out of White Cardstock. I lightly inked the center of the panel with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide. I then splattered the panel with some Kirsch Flamingo Distress Oxide mixed with water and some White Acrylic Paint.
Next, I die cut the frame using the Postage Frame Die with White Cardstock and adhered the frame onto the back panel with double sided foam tape. I then die cut the postage stamps with White Cardstock. I inked the edges of the stamps with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide. I stamped and die cut the critters and coloured them with Copic Markers listed below. I adhered the critters onto the stamps.
I die cut the Special Delivery sentiment out of White Cardstock and Kraft Cardstock. I added some glitter glue on the top edges of each letter of the White Cardstock. I adhered the sentiment onto the Kraft letter. I glued the sentiment onto the center of the card and adhered the stamps with foam tape.
To finish off the card, I added some pretty holly die cut with White Cardstock from the Candy Cane die set. I ink blended the berries with Festive Berries Distress Oxide and the branches and pine with Antique Linen, Tea Dye, Mowed Lawn, and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide. I added another layer of vellum holly for depth. I added some snow on the holly using a Snow Writer.
