Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Fawny Holiday Week at Lawn Fawn and I created a Christmas birdhouse garland featuring Build-A-Birdhouse and Tiny Gift Box. I plan on placing my garland on my mantle right after Thanksgiving.
To start, I die cut 6 boxes using the Tiny Gift Box die. I made a circle opening on two sides of each of the 6 gift boxes as shown below using the second smallest circle from Circle Stackables.

Next, I made two small holes with a small hole punch on the sides of each box in order to thread the string light. I adhered pieces of vellum to cover the circle openings on each of the boxes and added double sided tape to tabs of each box.

Next, I die cut 12 bird houses out of White Cardstock for the front and back of the boxes. I scored horizontal lines across the bird houses to resemble wood. I ink blended the roofs and the porches with the following Distress Oxides: Festive Berries, Kirsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar, Mermaid Lagoon, and Peacock Feathers.
I die cut six birds and ink blended the birds with the same colors as above. I die cut the word “peace” using Quinn’s ABCs out of White Cardstock and ink blended the letters with the same colors.
I added holly ink blended with Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides. I splattered some white acrylic paint onto the pieces. I added some snow on the rooftops and porches using a Snow Writer.

Next, I strung the string light through the holes of the boxes making sure that a light was in the middle of each box. I removed the backing on the tape on the tabs and adhered the boxes together.

I glued the birdhouse onto the front and back of each box. I adhered the letters onto the vellum on the front of each box. I added some cotton for snow on top of each box.
