Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #158 is Make the Sentiment the Star! For this Challenge, I used the Giant Happy Fall sentiment. I opted for softer colours as I wanted the focus to be on the sentiment.
To start, I trimmed Yeti cardstock to A2 size for the background. The cardstock is really pretty as it has tiny flecks of gold foil. I then die cut the Fall Leaves Backdrop out of White Cardstock. I ink blended the leaves with Salvage Patina, Dried Marigold, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides.
I die cut the pumpkins using Stitched Pumpkins Die and ink blended the pumpkins with the same colours. I then die cut the Giant Happy Fall sentiment twice out of White Cardstock. I ink blended one sentiment with Gathered Twigs and Tea Dye Distress Oxide. I adhered the white sentiment on top of the brown sentiment with the white sentiment slightly overlapping.
I added a squirrel from Let’s Go Nuts and coloured the image with Copic Markers listed below. I finished off the card with a white frame from Stitched Rectangle Frames.
