WISH UPON A STAR WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing another card created for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #154, Into the Woods! This time, I wanted to create a night camping scene using Pear Blossom EZ lights.

To start, I ink blended the night sky using the Nighttime Sky Stencil. I masked the moon with the stencil and lightly inked around the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I then blended Blueprint Sketch followed by Chipped Sapphire around the edges. I blended in the craters with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I covered the moon and I sprayed the sky with water and flicked white acrylic paint onto the sky. I set the panel aside to dry.

I used the Grassy Border to die cut the grass. I ink blended the grass with Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides and lightly sprayed the grass with water for texture.

I added some pine trees ink blended with Rustic Wilderness. I die cut the tent from Build-a-Campsite out of paper from Into the Woods, Fruit Salad,and Stripes ‘n Sprinkles. I die cut the lantern from the same set and ink blended with Black Soot Distress Ink, Spiced Marmalade, and Dried Marigold Distress Oxides.

I stamped and die cut the critters and beach towels (used as the bottom of the sleeping bags) and coloured with Copic Markers listed below. I placed the critters on the beach towels onto patterned paper and outline the images. I fussy cut the outline to be used for the sleeping bags and inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.

Using a paper piercer, I poked holes on the front panel on the areas where I wanted the lights to shine through. I placed the front panel on top of the bottom panel and drew pencil marks through the holes onto the bottom panel.

As with my previous light up cards, I adhered the EZ light mechanism with double sided tape and taped the wired lights in place making sure that the bulbs adhered to the pencil marks.

I stamped “Push Here” white card stock and ink blended with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide. I adhered everything onto the card and finished off the card with a White Heat Embossed sentiment from Upon a Star.
