BEEHIVE CHRISTMAS IN JULY WITH LAWN FAWN

Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing another card created for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #153-Christmas in July. For this card, I thought I would have some fun playing with the May Mini release Beehive.

To start, I ink blended A2 white cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Next, I added some falling snow using the Snowy Sky Stencil with Whiter Stencil Paste. I set the background panel aside to dry.

I die cut a white frame using Snow Flurries Backdrop and adhere double sided foam tape around the edges and adhered it onto the background panel.

I die cut the beehive and inked it with Wild Honey and Scattered Straw Distress Oxides. I added snow on top of the beehive using the ice cream border in I Scream, You Scream. I added snow on the bottom of the beehive using the large paint splatter die in Art Supplies. I adhered some Chunky Glitter along the edges of both.

For the inside of the beehive, I die cut a 2 1/2″ circle out of white cardstock. I ink blended the honeycomb background using the Honeycomb Stencil and Wild Honey Distress Oxide. I then die cut another paint splatter and ink blended with Wild Honey Distress Oxide and used this as honey at the bottom inside the beehive.

I die cut the Santa legs and boots from Shadow Box Card Fireplace Add-On and ink blended with Barn Door and Black Soot Distress Oxides. I stamped and die cut the bees from High Five, Santa hats from Ugly and Bright, and presents from Toboggan Together. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below.

I die cut “Bee” using Henry’s ABCs and ink blended with Barn Door Distress Oxide. I added some snow with Sparkle Cardstock- Pixie Dust and adhered the letters onto white cardstock letters for dimension.

I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment from Offset Sayings: Christmas using Lobster ink and a White Heat Embossed sentiment from the same set.
