Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for a new Challenge at Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #149 is to create a project using dies only! I have to admit, this was quite a challenge for me as I love using stamps especially cute critters in all my cards. For this card, I used the new Tiny Gift Box Elephant Add-On as my cute critter.
To start, I die cut A2 white cardstock with the Stitched Cloud Portrait Backdrop. I then added a stitched frame by running the panel through my die cut machine with the largest rectangle in the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables set. Next, I filled in some of the clouds with a touch of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.
For the hot air balloon, I die cut the panel using the Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables. I then die cut the frame with Yay Yellow cardstock using the largest die in Stitched Balloon Frames. I die cut acetate using the 3″ circle in Circle Stackables. I prepped the acetate circle using a dryer sheet. I die cut another frame using double sided foam sheet. I adhered the acetate circle onto the yellow frame. I then removed the backing of the foam frame and adhered it onto the yellow frame with the acetate.
Using my paper trimmer, I trimmed a piece of Yay Yellow cardstock to A2 size for the back panel. I flipped the front panel over and adhered foam tape around the edges and adhered it onto the back panel. I added shaker elements into the balloon die cut space and closed off the space by adhering the yellow frame into the area.

I die cut the elephant and inked the image with Hickory Smoke and Lost Shadow Distress Oxides. I added Spun Sugar Distress Oxide on the cheeks, trunk, hooves, and ears and highlighted the cheeks with a white gel pen. Next, I die cut the basket using Eggcellent Easter Basket. I borrowed the door knobs from Pumpkin House and added the knobs onto the top corners of the basket. I diecut two thin strips of White cardstock for the cables and ink blended all the basket die cuts with Tea Dye Distress Oxide. I added a peanut from the Tiny Box Elephant Add-On set and ink blended the peanut with Tea Dye Distress Oxide.
I added a banner using Fishtail Banner Borders and some puffy clouds from Stitched Cloud Backdrop:Portrait. I finished off the card with a White Heat Embossed sentiment from Wavy Sayings and some sequins.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, June 4th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you like my card!
