Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing another card for Challenge #147- Create a Scene, City vs. Country. For this card, I chose to create a quiet country scene with light up features using the new Fly High set and Pear Blossom EZ lights.
To start, I ink blended the background on A2 size white cardstock using Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides. I added a mountain border inked with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide and lightly splattered with the same ink mixed with a small amount of water.
For the front panel, I die cut Running Stitch paper from the What’s Sewing On? Petite Paper Pack with Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop: Landscape. I then die cut the paper again with Forest Backdrop. I die cut the trees from the set and ink blended the trees with Rustic Wilderness and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides and adhered the trees onto the front panel.
I stamped and diecut the images from Fly High and coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. Using a paper piercer, I made two holes in the hot air balloons and fussy cut the openings.
I adhered the front panel onto the sunset background and added foam tape around the 4 edges.

For the lights, I used double sided tape and adhered the three E-Z lights onto A2 white cardstock. For details, please see the Light Up Love Tunnel card, February 16, 2023.
I placed the front panel over the lights and marked the openings for the lights. I used a paper piercer to make the openings. I removed the backing on the foam tape and adhered the front panel onto the sunset background. I adhered the hot air balloons, elephant, mouse and cloud onto the card. I stamped “Fly High…” onto one of the clouds. I stamped “Push Here” onto white cardstock and die cut the circle using a die from Scripty Bubble Sentiments.
I finished off the card with a White Heat embossed sentiment on banner die cut with Blue Textured Canvas Cardstock.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, April 30th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
