Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for another Lawn Fawn Challenge! Challenge #146 is to create a project using the above color inspiration. When I looked at the picture, I thought it was a beautiful piece of art so I decided to replicate the art work into my card.
To start, I die cut white cardstock with the largest rectangle from Outside in Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I then used the Brick Stencil and ink blended the panel with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide. I splattered some of the distress oxide with water for added detail. I trimmed paper 4″W x 1.25″ H from Stripes ‘n Sprinkles Petite Paper Pack and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. I added a border using Stitched Borders. I stamped the “Together is My” sentiment onto the top left hand corner.
I stamped and die cut the cute mice from Friends Forever (this is a set which was a gift with purchase during the Spring Release) and coloured with Copic Markers listed below. I stamped the sofa from Window Scene Winter. I masked off the sofa back when I stamped and fussy cut the remainder of the sofa seat. I colored the sofa with Copic Markers listed below.
For the art work, I die cut the canvas from Canvas and Easel Die out of water-colour paper. I rubbed the paper using soft pastels. I didn’t have the exact colors as seen in the picture so I used the closest colors thad I had. I then painted over the soft pastels with acrylics following the pattern from the picture.
I adhered all my images onto the panel with foam tape. I added the “Favorite Place To Be” sentiment die cut from Everyday Sentiment Banners.
I finished off the card by adhering the panel onto paper from All The Dots Petite Paper Pack.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, April 16th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift certificate and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
