Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing a card created for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #138- Sketch Challenge. For this Challenge, I flipped the sketch upside down for my inspiration. There is a lot of snow from where I live right now and the circle at the bottom reminded me of a giant snowball. As I have yet to have the chance to use the Beary Rainy Day set, I thought I would use it for this card by adding warm puffy winter jackets.
Originally, I wanted to use the Reveal Wheel Die but the turning wheel was on top right of the card and I wanted the turning wheel to be on the bottom right. Instead, I die cut White Cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle die (second largest) for the card front (A) and the smallest Stitched Balloon die for the opening for the wheel.
To make the background, I placed the Stitched Rectangle diecut (A) onto the center of A2 White Cardstock (B). I used a small amount of Pixie Spray to prevent the Stitched Rectangle from moving. I ink blended Spun Sugar, Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks onto (A) and (B). I masked the rectangular areas as seen in the card sketch and I added large snowflakes using Pearl Stencil Paste with the Snowflake Background Stencil. I removed the mask and added snowfall using White Stencil Paste with the Snowy Sky Stencil. I gently removed (A) from (B). I then used the smallest balloon from the Stitched Balloon set to die cut the bottom right hand side on (A).
For the spinning wheel mechanism, I die cut 1 wheel from Reveal Wheel and used the circle in the set to make a hole in the middle.

I then used second and third smallest circles in Circle Stackables to make 7 rings.

I glued the rings onto the wheel.

I adhered the wheel onto the (B). I glued a quarter into the middle of the rings. The rings need to be higher than the quarter otherwise the mechanism will not be stable. I used a circle die to die cut the opening for the mechanism on (A). I didn’t have a circle die with measurements that perfectly fits the die cut ring mechanism so as you can see there is a gap. My snowball was large enough to hide the gap. I would recommend to use a smaller circle die which closely fits the ring mechanism if the image that you are planning to use on the mechanism is small. I then adhered (A) onto (B) with 1/16′ foam tape.

I used Stitched Hillside Borders to make the snowy hills and ink blended the hills with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink. I adhered one snowy hill onto the background. For the snowball, I used the circle from the second largest Stitched Circle Frame. I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks. I added falling snow onto the snowball using White Stencil Paste with the Snowy Sky Stencil. I then glued the snowball onto the mechanism making sure that the bottom of the snowball was in front of the snowy hill. Next, I adhered the second snowy hill onto the bottom of the card with 1/16″ foam tape.

I stamped and die cut the bears with the coordinating dies. I used a multi-liner to draw the puff coats and fur and coloured the bears with Copic Markers listed below. I added a pink directional arrow onto the wheel and a White Heat Embossed Sentiment on Ballet Slipper Cardstock.
