Hello Crafty Friends! As we are approaching the holiday season, Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #137 is all about holiday critters! For this challenge, I used the Pool Party set to create a snow tubing themed card. I can’t think of a better way to spend a winter day than to go snow tubing!
To start, I trimmed a piece of letter size White Cardstock in half. I then scored the one half in the middle to make the folded card. I lined up the left hand side of the card, one inch from the top with the Forest Border die and ran it through my die cut machine. I placed the left hand die cut side of the card, on top of A2 White Cardstock and lightly traced the trees. I did this with two pieces of White Cardstock. I lined up the Forest Border die with the lightly traced trees on each on the two A2 Cardstock (A) and (B) and placed the Forest Border along the traced trees and ran both through my die cut machine. I ink blended the right hand side of the card with Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Blueprint Sketch Distress ink and added some snow using White Stencil Paste with Snow Flurries Background Stencil.
I adhered one piece of the Forest Tree diecut (A) onto the inside of the card. For the second Forest Tree diecut (B), I made the borders for the snow tubing path using the Stitched Hillside Border . For the bottom of the hill, I die cut a piece of White Cardstock with the Stitched Hillside Border and ink blended the edges of all three pieces with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I added some snow using White Stencil Paste with Snow Flurries Background Stencil and set it aside to dry.

I stamped and die cut the critters from Pool Party and coloured with Copic Markers listed below. I added some snow chunks from Yeti or not. I thought it would be fun to add some Speech Bubbles with sentiments from Sledding By for Simon Says Stamp. I finished off the card with a Black heat embossed sentiment form the same set, snowflakes stamped with Forget-Me-Not and Kiddie Pool Ink, and some Chunky Glitter for a sparkly effect.

The Challenge is open until Sunday, November 20th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to win a $50 Lawn Fawn gift certificate and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
