Hello Crafty Friends! It’s time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!
Challenge #134 is to create a project that is designed with one color. For this Challenge, I created a Monochromatic Winter themed card created with my favourite color blue. And what a better way to use blue than with the adorable new Snowball fight set!
For the background, I trimmed a piece of White Card Stock to 4″ x 5.25″. I used Stitched Ponds to die cut the ice rink onto the bottom of the card. Next, I placed the Hillside Stencil onto the background and ink blended the sky using Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide and Tumbled Glass Ink. I then inked the edges of the frozen pond with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide and Tumbled Glass Ink.
I stamped the critters, snowballs, and the snow wall and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I then coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below.
To make the frozen pond, I trimmed another piece of White Cardstock sized 4″ x 5.25″. I placed the background on top of the cardstock and lightly traced the edge of the rink with pencil. I then stamped the images using the mirror reflection technique ( Dec. 10, 2021 post) onto the frozen pond. I colored the mirror images with Copic Markers listed below. I ink blended the frozen pond with Tumbled Glass Ink and used a White Gelly Roll pen to add streaks onto the ice.
I placed the Snow Flurries stencil over the entire background and added White and Fairy Dust Stencil Paste. I added the joy sentiment, ink blended with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide and Tumbled Glass Ink. I adhered the joy sentiment onto the same sentiment die cut with white cardstock for added depth.

I added a White Heat Embossed “Happy Winter” sentiment and finished off the card by adhering it onto a background using blue tone paper from the Knit Picky Winter Petite Pack.
The Challenge is open until Sunday, October 16th at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to win a $50 Lawn Fawn gift certificate and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thanks so much for joining me and I hope you like my card!
