Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing an Easter parade card for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #122 using the inspiration board below.
To start, I die cut cardstock from the Really Rainbow Paper Pack using the Peekaboo Backdrop frame. Using the frame, I lightly drew a pencil line across a piece of white cardstock, 4.25″H x 5.5″W to mark the bottom and top half of the frame. I erased the pencil mark after I placed the mask onto the card. To create the sky, I masked the bottom half of the grid and lightly ink blended the top half with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and then I splattered some blue watercolour onto the sky. For the road, I masked the sky and lightly ink blended the road with Black Soot Distress Oxide using the Hillside Borders Stencil.
I adhered the frame onto the background with foam tape. I then glued on all the tiny friends, cars and village shops which were die cut with coordinating dies and coloured with Copic Markers listed below. I finished off the card with a Happy Easter sentiment heat embossed onto the airplane banner from Simply Celebrate Spring.
