SIMPLY BIRDS WITH PAPERTREY INK

Hello Crafty Friends! Sending and receiving faith-based cards is such a beautiful way to share love and encouragement. Today I’m sharing a peaceful faith-inspired card featuring the Simply Birds Die Set, Praying For You Sentiments, and Framed In Florals Hot Foil Plate from Papertrey Ink’s latest release.

To start, I die cut a quilted A2 background using the Cover Plate: Quilted Die. Next, I hot foiled the floral frame with Moondust Glimmer Foil and softly ink blended the center using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. After fussy cutting around the edges, I adhered the panel to the center of the quilted background.

I then die cut one of the birds along with the coordinating flowers from the Simply Birds Die Set. Since the set includes two lovely birds, I chose to feature just one so the beautiful foiled frame could really shine!

I ink blended the bird and flowers with the following inks:

Pinks: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Lovely Lady

Yellow: Harvest Gold, Butter (Lawn Fawn)

Greens: Simply Chartreuse, New Leaf, Aqua Mist

Blue: Salty Ocean Distress Ink, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

Eye: Blueberry Sky

I arranged and adhered all the elements onto the front panel, then added soft detail to the bird’s cheeks and beak with Copic markers RV10 and RV000. I stamped “Keeping You In My Thoughts and Prayers” with Blueberry Sky ink and die cut the sentiment with the coordinating die. I finished the card with some sparkling sequins.
