Hello Crafty Friends! I’m sharing a sweet lamb-themed Easter card in celebration of Papertrey Ink’s special Instagram Hop happening today! For this card, I used the adorable Build-A-Lamb die set along with the This Is Big Sentiments : Many Blessings sentiment set.
To begin, I die a leafy background using the Border Bling: Framed In Nature die from a white A2 panel. I softly inked the center of the panel with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and adhered it onto an A2 card base.
Next, I die cut the lamb and all its coordinating pieces from white cardstock, and die cut the eyes and hooves from black cardstock. I lightly inked the lamb’s face and body with Tattered Rose, then shaded the sides of the face with Spun Sugar. I added cheeks with Copic Marker RV00, and the inner ears and nose were ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo.
I assembled the cutie together and added texture with Copic Marker C0.
For the accents, I die cut two eggs from the Egg Hunt set using gold speckled cardstock. One egg was ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar, while the other was blended with Cracked Pistachio. I also die cut two additional eggs out from vellum and tucked them behind the coloured eggs to add dimension.
The florals were cut using both the Build-A-Lamb set and Into The Blooms: Bag Of Blossoms die set. I ink blended them with the following inks:
Florals– Pure Poppy, Lovely Lady, Pale Peony
Leaves– New Leaf, Simply Chartreuse
I arranged the lamb, eggs, and florals onto the card front and adhered them in place.
To finish the card, I added a gold embossed “Blessings” from This Is Big Sentiments: Many Blessings and a gold enamel dot to one of the floral centres.
